Relevant work experience and how it relates to Toastmasters and your role as a District leader:
In my current role as engineer, I always play the role of a facilitator to organized the workshop and help colleagues carry out improvement activities, such as Kaizen.
What experience do you have in strategic planning?
Frankly, I have little experience in strategic planning. But in my first job process, as a team member, I studied and participated in company level planning, and while I couldn't use the process in a mature way, I believed it would be easier to learn about it.
What experience do you have in the area of finance?
Like the strategic planning I mentioned earlier, I have very little financial knowledge. Only as club president and area director, I learned a little in organizing activities in area level. Hopefully, there will be opportunities for further study in other positions.
What experience do you have in developing procedures?
As a process engineer in a production factory, I often observe the production process, and then try to eliminate waste in all the processes. Therefore, it is part of my daily work to develop and update procedures.
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions?
What lessons did you learn from previous leadership positions? As the area director, the main thing is to keep communication and integration between the clubs. I have to responsible for the club grow healthy. So in the critical moment for the club to solve problems, has become an important expression of the value of my position.
Why do you want to serve as a District leader?
To be a higher level division director, I was able to serve more clubs and also had the opportunity to meet more members and clubs and learn some new cultures of toastmasters, as I learned more skills, I can use it not only in my personal work, but also in the help of healthy growth of more clubs.
In your opinion, what are the District mission’s major objectives and how would you work to achieve them?
I think the most important major objective of the district missions is service, as long as officers at all levels serve their own clubs and members by using elements we already have such as MOT, the district missions of build new clubs and help them achieve excellence is easy.
